If you don’t invest in yourself, who will?
If you follow along on my Instagram you might have seen yesterday that I collaborated with some other amazing business ladies to do a branding shoot. It was a little uncomfortable for me, as it always is, to take pictures of myself and invest in my business. Do you find it difficult to invest in yourself? Do you find it easier to invest in others? Your significant other? Children? Friends?
It got me thinking about how yoga is an amazing long-term investment in our health. I'm doing an exciting giveaway this week with a company called Salad Club (all the details are below). When I decided to invest in myself by having healthy salads delivered each week, it was hard to not feel guilty. When I look at it as a long-term investment in my health, it alleviates that guilt. When my kids were a bit younger, I'd take them most days to the daycare at the gym. They'd often complain about having to go. I would always try to remind myself to think big picture. Showing them the importance of moving my body and taking time for myself is more important in the long run than their slight discomfort in the short term.
So this week I'm going to enjoy my salads that I didn't have to prepare without guilt. I'm going to take time for myself to do yoga and fill my cup so that I can fill others' cups. How will you invest in yourself this week?
love and light,
Molly
